3 Ways to Celebrate a Chocolate Easter with Kids

Easter is a great time of year to get out your home chocolate fountain, inspiring the kids to have fun with Sephra chocolate. The kids can use Sephra chocolate to create chocolate Easter egg nests filled with mouth-watering peanut butter eggs, as well as organize a tray of Easter-inspired dipping treats for the home chocolate fountain.

Create Simple and Delicious Kid-Friendly Easter Table Decorations

From our recipes archives, these two kid-friendly Easter desserts not only make cute table decorations, but delicious home chocolate fountain dipping treats once you’re ready for dessert. To form Easter egg nests, all you need are two cups of Sephra chocolate in Belgian dark, one-half cup of crunchy peanut butter, and four cups of chow mein noodles.

Simply combine Sephra chocolate and the peanut butter and microwave on a low setting to melt without burning. Stir to combine and then add the chow mein noodles and carefully stir to coat. Next, let your kids line a cupcake tin and maybe a small bowl (to vary the size of the nests) with wax paper-these will be your nest molds. Then spoon some of the Sephra chocolate mixture into the lined molds and use the back of the spoon to hollow out the center. Let them set in the refrigerator, carefully remove, and you’re ready to fill them!

The next item on the Easter agenda is to make peanut butter eggs. Simply combine one and one-quarter cups peanut butter, two cups powdered sugar, one-quarter tsp. vanilla extract and a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly. Let the kids join in and together take small handfuls of the peanut butter dough and roll into egg shapes. Chill them in the refrigerator for an hour. Then, melt one and one-half cups Sephra chocolate in Belgian dark and dip the eggs in it. You can roll them in a variety of toppings, including coconut, cocoa powder or powdered sugar. Chill once more until firm and then you’re ready to set the Easter table!

Make Your Home Chocolate Fountain Easter-Ready

Use a cake stand and arrange an array of Easter-shaped vanilla and chocolate cookies for dipping in your home chocolate fountain. Place a couple of the Easter nests near the home chocolate fountain and alternate by filling two with peanut butter eggs and two with marshmallows shaped like chicks and Easter eggs. You can use the remaining Easter nests as a creative centerpiece filled with jelly beans and jordan almonds. Indeed, this Easter is sure to be a delicious family affair.
