If you have a home chocolate fountain, you can plan the perfect romantic date night without leaving the house. Most date nights focused on romance include dinner at a nice restaurant, candlelight and wine or champagne. Instead, save your money and plan a decadent date night at home using these ideas!

Setting the Stage for Romance

Although home chocolate fountains are an important element of a romantic date night, setting the stage for romance is much more than just setting up the chocolate fountain. The stage doesn’t have to be elaborate, but some thought must be put in to create the perfect ambiance. For example, instead of setting up the chocolate fountain on the kitchen table or island, choose a spot by the fireplace, on the patio (weather permitting), or even set up a floor picnic in the bedroom.

Once you’ve chosen the ideal spot, you’ll still need a sturdy surface to put the chocolate fountain on, and you should also plan for low lighting, flickering candlelight and soft music. Also, protect the room you choose for your date by using a dark-colored tablecloth beneath the chocolate fountain. Then, lay out fluffy floor pillows on a blanket for lounging by the chocolate fountain.

Choosing Romantic Dipping Treats

After you’ve decided where and how you’ll set the scene for your romantic date, it’s time to focus on choosing dipping treats for the chocolate fountain that evoke romance. Of course, strawberries are a classic choice. Not only do they taste even better dipped in warm chocolate for chocolate fountains, but they are quintessential romance.

If you want to break the mold or just offer a variety, you could layer a skewer with strawberry slices and blueberries and arrange a handful of these in a vase using floral foam at the bottom. You could also arrange heart-shaped cookies on a plate to dip into the chocolate fountain.

You don’t need too many dipping treats, especially since it’s a date for two, so keep it simple and romantic, and you can’t go wrong.

Pairing Champagne With Chocolate for Chocolate Fountains

To add that something special to the evening, consider opening a bottle of bubbly to go with the chocolate dipped treats. Chocolate and champagne, especially chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, complement each other perfectly. The champagne should be dry to offset the sweetness of the chocolate fountain.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to infusing date night with decadent chocolate for chocolate fountains, meaning you can create unique romantic evenings as often as you crave chocolate covered treats!

Halloween candy makingHalloween is the perfect holiday to host a creepy, crawly chocolate fountain party. Chocolate for chocolate fountain is not only delicious, but delight everyone from kids to adults. Getting into the Halloween spirit isn't difficult with Sephra's home fondue fountains and a little creativity!

Kid-Friendly Halloween Chocolate Fountain Party

Since Halloween is associated with orange and black, you could either use white chocolate for chocolate fountains and dye it orange, or simply use milk or dark chocolate and offer an array of dipping treats that match the Halloween color scheme. Sephra's home chocolate fountains are easy to decorate, and you might consider using orange twinkle lights around the bottom and top of the chocolate fountain and use a big black spider as the topper.

For kid-friendly dipping treats, consider using orange and black sugar cookies in various Halloween-inspired shapes, such as bats, spiders and skulls. Mini-cupcakes made with vanilla batter, orange icing with a smattering of black sprinkles would taste delicious dipped in chocolate. A tray stacked with fluffy marshmallows will be a hit, especially is the kids have to reach through a spider web to get one. The food table could have a black tablecloth, and various insects could be scattered around the food trays. The kids can all dress up and will not only love dipping the Halloween-themed food into the chocolate for chocolate fountains, but will have a safe evening.

Adults-Only Halloween Chocolate Fountain Party

For an adult party, you might choose a creepy theme over a crawly one and feature a haunted house, complete with the haunted chocolate fountain display table. You could set your home chocolate fountain in a graveyard by using a black tablecloth and propping up headstones around the table. A life-size skeleton, perhaps sporting a black coat, could guard the chocolate fountain, or you might use a skull as the chocolate fountain topper. Of course, drape cobwebs around the headstones and maybe litter a few bones around the table. Liquid smoke can create a ghostly atmosphere around the table, and the haunted illusion will be complete!

Dipping treats could include piles of white marshmallows and bite size angel food cake against dark chocolate brownies and mini cupcakes with black icing, simulating the fight between the good ghosts and the evil ones. Blood-red strawberries and cherries are perfect for dipping into chocolate for chocolate fountains and remind guests of each ghost's bloody demise. Keep the lights low, and your creepy chocolate fountain party will thrill the palates and minds of your guests.

Cider recipes for your beverage fountain Sephra's beverage fountain can transform any fall harvest party into an impressive celebration.  Be inspired by creative apple cider recipes that can be served either hot or cold in your beverage fountain.  The best part?  You get to mingle with your guests and not worry about having to stir the cider! Creative Apple Cider Cocktails Apple cider makes a delicious cocktail and is perfect for an adult gathering. The recipe for allspice apple cider, however, is still ideal for a mixed party because the alcohol is added to the mug, not the cider.  Kids can still drink the cider from the fountain and the adults can spike it for an extra kick. Simply tie up 3 cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves and 3 strips of orange peel in cheesecloth and place it in the fountain. Then, add 8 cups of apple cider and 4 cups of cranberry juice cocktail (feel free to double this recipe if necessary). Just let all these ingredients simmer together for about 30 minutes, then add 2 tablespoons of dark rum to a mug and fill with this delicious version of apple cider. For an all-in-one cocktail, consider making hot-buttered apple cider for those chilly fall evenings. Simply combine 14 cups of apple cider and 2/3 cup of brown sugar and then add a spice bag (wrapped in cheesecloth) containing 8 cinnamon sticks, 2 teaspoon each of whole allspice and cloves and lemon peel strips from 2 lemons. Add to the cider mixture and then add 3 cups of dark rum. Heat and simmer about 20 minutes before removing the spice bag and serving to guests with a small pat of butter floating on top, along with a thin apple slice for a garnish. Creative and Family-Friendly Apple Cider Ideas Whether your party will be full of kids or you just prefer a non-alcoholic apple cider drink, these two recipes are sure to taste delicious and please guests' palettes. Hot raspberry cider is an interesting deviation from traditional apple cider and is easy to make. Simply combine 16 cups of apple cider with 2 cups of frozen raspberry juice concentrate (thawed), one half cup of sugar and 2 cinnamon sticks. Heat in the beverage fountain for 15 minutes and remove the cinnamon sticks and serve. Another option is to serve hot spiced cider using 12 cups of apple cider and one half cup of pure maple syrup. Place 4 cinnamon sticks and 12 each of whole cloves, whole allspice berries, orange peel strips and lemon peel strips in cheesecloth. Place into the cider mixture and heat in the heated beverage fountain. In 15 minutes, it will be ready for thirsty guests to enjoy a taste of the season.

Chocolate Fountain Wind GuardWhether it’s a casual outdoor gathering for friends or a lavish summer wedding, adding a chocolate fountain is a delicious way to make your outdoor event memorable. A chocolate fountain will enhance any type of outdoor event, ranging from ultra-casual to chic and formal themes. You’ll simply want to make sure to include a wind guard to keep the chocolate fountain chocolate tasting great and looking wonderful.

Keep Your Guests Clean With a Chocolate Fountain Wind Guard

Even a small breeze or random gust on an otherwise calm evening can scatter chocolate fountain chocolate onto guests’ clothing. No matter how casual your event might be, no one wants to wear the chocolate fountain chocolate home on their shirt or dress.

Instead, outfit your chocolate fountain with a wind guard to protect the chocolate fountain chocolate from the cool breeze blowing or from the occasional gust that could come along at any moment.

Keep the Chocolate Fountain Chocolate Sanitary With a Chocolate Fountain Wind Guard

Another key reason to incorporate a wind guard into your chocolate fountain is to protect the chocolate fountain chocolate itself. The wind can not only blow chocolate and stain guests’ clothing, but the wind can whip up debris like twigs, leaves and dirt from the ground and dump them right into the chocolate fountain. If there are any food wrappers or liter on the ground, these items also could end up swimming in your chocolate fountain and ruin the evening for you and your guests.

Simply adding a wind guard, however, will prevent your chocolate fountain chocolate from becoming contaminated.

Keep Germs Away From Chocolate Fountain Chocolate

Finally, the wind guard protects the chocolate fountain chocolate from invisible debris: germs. People tend to cough and sneeze, especially if there’s a breeze blowing allergens like pollen. The last thing your guests want to see as they are waiting in line to dip delicious treats is a sneeze into the chocolate fountain.

The best way to prevent any of the above three scenarios from happening is to outfit your chocolate fountain with a wind guard, keeping the chocolate fountain chocolate fresh and unspoiled, as well as your guests.

A delicious chocolate fountain is the perfect addition to any kid’s birthday party. Not only do most kids love chocolate, but chocolate fountains are fun, interactive, and just messy enough. Which kid doesn’t enjoy deviating from eating dessert with a knife and fork?  Here are some tips for making a chocolate fountain kid friendly.

Kid-Friendly Chocolate Fountains: The Basics

It’s important to remember that kids are less refined and composed than adults standing in line for a trip to the chocolate fountain. A good way to protect the chocolate is to use a wind/sneeze guard, especially if the party will take place outdoors, to keep the chocolate for chocolate fountains from getting contaminated by a sneezing child or debris on the wind.

It’s also a good idea to ask parents if a child has any food allergies, since common food allergies among kids includes nuts and strawberries, which are also common dipping treats. To be on the safe side, you might steer clear of these items just in case, especially since there are so many other options for delicious dipping treats.

It’s important to remember that kids will be kids, and that means that when they are encouraged to dip treats into melted chocolate, a mess will likely occur. If the party is outside, you don’t have to worry as much about dropped chocolate covered dipping treats staining carpet, but an inside party might encourage a specific area designated for chocolate fountain dipping and eating. If the room has carpet, lay out a vinyl “picnic” blanket that mimics the party theme and have the kids gather on this to eat.

Choosing the Right Dipping Treats for Kids Kids Love Chocolate Fountains

If kids are faced with a platter of fruit and a platter of cookies and confections, they will likely choose the sweeter options for dipping in chocolate. Keeping the choices simple is important because too many choices could be more chaotic in the end. Consider skewers of banana slices, a fruit every child will recognize and that tastes delicious dipped in milk chocolate for chocolate fountains.

For sweets, consider angel food squares, which don’t crumble easily, small sugar cookies and colorful marshmallows. These foods are all delicious slathered in chocolate for chocolate fountains, and they are easily recognizable to picky kids. They are easy to skewer, so that you will have less occurrences of floating food in the chocolate fountain.

Following these tips will ensure your next birthday party event will not only be kid-friendly, but will have every kid at the party wanting a fun and yummy chocolate fountain at their next birthday party.
