Hot Weather Packing Add-On – 3 Gel Ice Packs
Extra Protection for Chocolate Orders During Warm Weather
Ordering chocolate during warmer months can be tricky, especially when parcels are travelling through courier depots and delivery vans that are not temperature controlled.
This optional hot weather packing add-on gives your chocolate order extra protection by adding 3 gel ice packs to your parcel before dispatch. It is a useful choice during warm spells, sunny periods and heatwaves, when chocolate is more likely to soften or melt in transit.
Helps Reduce the Risk of Melting
The gel ice packs are added to your parcel to help keep the contents cooler for longer than standard shipping alone. This gives your chocolate more protection while it travels through the delivery network.
Please note that this add-on does not guarantee that your chocolate will arrive completely unmelted, especially during very high temperatures or courier delays. However, it does offer more protection than standard packing during hot weather.
Important Delivery Advice
For the best chance of your chocolate arriving in good condition, we recommend choosing a delivery address where someone can accept the parcel straight away. Once delivered, move the parcel indoors quickly and store the chocolate in a cool, dry place.
Avoid leaving parcels outside, in porches, in direct sunlight or in warm vehicles.
Will this stop my chocolate from melting?
This add-on helps reduce the risk of melting by adding 3 gel ice packs to your parcel, but it does not guarantee that chocolate will arrive completely unmelted. Standard couriers do not use temperature-controlled vehicles, so parcels can still be exposed to heat.
Is this better than standard shipping?
Yes, this gives your chocolate order more protection than standard packing alone during warmer weather.
When should I add this to my order?
We recommend adding it during warm spells, sunny periods, heatwaves, or whenever you are ordering chocolate in warmer months.

As a guide, chocolate callets are usually packed at around 20kg per parcel. More delicate chocolate products, such as shavings, curls, decorations, chunks and similar items, may vary depending on the product size, weight and how the order needs to be packed.
If you are placing a larger order and are unsure how many parcels your order is likely to be split into, please call us or email us before ordering and we can advise.
