In this quick tip we will explain how to melt your Sephra Chocolate in a microwave. This is among the fastest and easiest ways to melt your Chocolate. To melt a bag of Sephra Belgian or Premium Chocolate simply place one 2lb bag in the microwave at a time. Set the time to two minutes power level to 50% and press start. Some of you may want to poke holes in your bag of Chocolate or open up the bag prior to placing it in the microwave. Do not puncture nor open your bag of Chocolate in any way prior to placing it in the microwave. This could cause chocolate to unnecessarily seep out of the bag while melting. Likewise Sephra Chocolate bags are BPA free which means they are safe for microwavable use.
I Kneed A Little More Time
Once the 2 minutes is finished take the bag out of the microwave. You'll kneed the bag by pushing the Chocolate around and out of the corners. You will notice that the Chocolate is squishy and softer but still not liquid. Place the bag back in the microwave for two more minutes at half power. A total of four minutes is all you will need to completely melt your Chocolate. If you chose to melt your Chocolate for a longer period of time in the microwave you will risk scorching the Chocolate which can cause it to become thicker. As Chocolate becomes scorched it takes on a toothpaste type consistency and heating it up more will only cause it to become thicker.
The Next Bit's A Snip!
Now that you've melted your Chocolate the fastest and cleanest way to get your Chocolate into the bowl is by using scissors to cut one of the top corners of the bag off. There are quick tear notches along the top of the bag but those are better used for commercial purposes where you have a large bowl to pour the Chocolate into.
Turn Your Fountain On
You'll notice that we have left the bottom half of the Centre Cylinder in the bowl. If you don't leave this part in it's pretty hard to find it once your bowl is filled with Chocolate. Now that you have the minimum amount of Chocolate in your Fountain let's go ahead and turn it on. If when you turn your fountain on it looks a little bit drippy it's likely that you have air bubbles stuck in your Centre Cylinder and will need to burp your Fountain in our next quick tip videos we'll go ahead and show you how to burp your fountain.
